We wouldn't be IN this shutdown if House Republicans would follow the Constitution - which was set up in such a way that budget bills need 60 votes in the Senate to pass. Failing a supermajority in the Senate, even a House majority party needs to negotiate with minority members - and they refuse.

My deepest condolences to the family of the murdered worker, and heartfelt concern to the families of those missing. My grandmother's brother - my gr-uncle - born in 1889 in Massachusetts, was a fruit picker. He followed crops along the West Coast to pick fruit for a living... I will remember him.

Well,no - duh. If you carve 80% from the middle you get a mediocre government that never has to consider the points of outliers - who may in fact have some valid points to make. It's why the Founding Fathers structured elections in a way that pits the 2 strongest parties against each other.

I mean, there's only 2 choices, right? White seed or black seed. All those other things - onion, blueberry, chocolate chip - they're more like bread... BTW, I live in Montreal, where bagels are perfect. 😉

How does an avaricious 1% get everything from the 99% if their wealth is in their homes and retirement accounts? 1st, destroy the value of retirement accounts and buy the stock up. Check. 2nd, destroy the economy so they have to downsize their homes... Working on it...

This is NOT about bringing manufacturing back. It's about a transfer of wealth FROM the middle class 401k's TO the 1% through stock manipulation.
