Most likely eligibility will be reset from 0 (aka no carry over from current schemes). They are working on changing assessment as well. Want to use College of Experts more in the feedback cycle with the sector.

The CEO said the following at the ACSD event in Canberra (paraphrasing):
New schemes are with the minister to be progressed to completion hence they cannot promise a timeline. ARC expects a transition period of up to 3 years. Current Schemes will likely be phased out gradually?!.

It's mid-October & ARC haven't updated us since mid-July on the Brand New Grants System.
When will we be told?
What schemes will even run?
ARC "paused" (cancelled?) the only Indigenous scheme, plus Laureates & all Industry Fellowships, and so far there's no replacements.

1/At Macquarie Uni we are losing 50% of our units in my faculty. This is on top of cuts in 2020. We estimate by next year my faculty will be teaching 80% fewer subjects than pre Covid. Disciplines being cut do not have declining enrolments. @jennaprice.bsky.social @michaelwestbiz.bsky.social
