I think looking back on it all.

Yeah I think Castlevania Nocturne's handling of The French Revolution is kinda poor.

It gets to the point on the corruption with the French Monarchy and Church but I think honestly they should've set it in Napoleanic France

A two-page comic ad from Japan by Ayami Kojima enticed readers in 1997 to hold back the night in Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight, an action RPG for the Sony PlayStation. It also teased an included music CD and art book!

It arrived in NA few months later as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
This page features Alucard (in the bottom panel) and Dracula, his father, above. Alucard's thoughts turn to his ruined home and his own journey. Dracula is seen here with his wife, Alucard's mother, who dies in his father's arms as a demonic shadow creeps up the wall behind him. Here, Alucard's thoughts turn to his cursed blood and the endless road ahead of him. In the lower right, the game is advertised for ¥5,800 and includes a music CD collection along with an illustration book by Ayami Kojima whose art defined the classic look of the series' characters and promotional art.
