I get why the Rangers did it because there arent many other Semien suitors and hes better than what they had

But i think both are probably similar caliber players at this point and Semien's contract is a bit better

he might be better than Nimmo next year. Nimmo is 32 and just had bat speed decline and corner OFers can hit a wall at 33 (Nick Castellanos waves)

He can still be a .700 OPS guy with great defense at 2B. Only really need it for 2 years and he's a good enough athlete for that to happen.
