On a walk today I came across a guy who was super excited about this mushroom tree and described where it was so I too could enjoy it. Such nice mushrooms.

At least we managed to keep the cone of shame on her for the required week post-surgery, and got her meds down her too. And all‘s well that ends well; she makes a darling pirate and had no infections or anything, so…. (You may have seen this pic already but sharing again.)

I don't know if it's too late for my special Adonis picture, but I'm sharing anyway!

(As a suggestion for those considering similar donations, I also recommend looking for local pet food banks, since people are going to have less money to feed critters this month too. Also sent a donation there.)

She looks like she’s just casually hanging out, but in fact she’s ready to claw my sleeve as soon as I step too close.

We are prepping for the final battle of our D&D campaign. Some of the final bosses have wandered onto the map and are exploring it curiously. They look strangely like house cats.
A D&D map is laid out on the floor to flatten from its normal rolled up position. Three live cats are standing on it looking huge in comparison to the combat squares - a brown tabby is looking inquisitively at the camera while an orange tabby with a white belly and a void kitten are looking at the map. A one-eyed void cat is standing on the edge of a D&D combat map which has heavy items on either side to help flatten it for the game.

An AI image of a 3 floor open house with no interior walls. The lighting is pale green and a warm yellow, and at least one wall is all windows with trees outside, implying that this house is in a remote area. At first it seems like a reasonable house, but then you realize that it’s another AI fever dream. Some highlights: the ground floor has a kitchen area that includes a stove with a faucet instead of a separate sink and stove. There is also a toilet in the kitchen with no privacy, right next to the food prep area. A computer monitor has an image of what is supposed to be a bicycle, but the various bits don’t actually connect. The stairs are curvy & each step is different sizes, until at the top leading to the 3rd floor, they are 2-3 inches (4-6 cm) deep. Floor two has a huge round bed with lots of cozy pillows. It also has a microwave and a stove vent completely unconnected to an actual stove. The stair railing blocks off the entrance to the 2nd floor so you would have to walk through the railing bars, which are thankfully about 8 feet (about 2.75 m) high so you can walk under them. Floor three has some shelves & a bed under a skylight. It looks fine until you realize there is no railing between the bed & a 2 story drop. At least you can appreciate the 2 story high curtains for both full-window walls as you fall.

I just tried to post this and I think Bluesky hiccuped and didn’t post it. If it comes through twice I apologize. Just wanted to say that I’m looking forward to seeing all of the drawings when they’re finished. And here are 2 pics of MY Edelgard.
