But the 'making an advertised 10 carriage train into a 5 carriage one' Does Not Help.
And I also strongly think that passengers who have endured, as our Train Manager was clear about, a dangerous journey, need a publicised organisation/person to take responsibility.

Thanks. We got seats on the way home - but even on that one, all reservations had been suspended. Which (as on the way down) leads to aggro - you're trying to turf people out of seats that they don't know have been booked. It's dodgy ground....& comes down to Who Blinks First!

It's possible. The Sunday service is particularly bad.
I felt really sorry for the Train Manager today - she sounded really upset over the intercom & was clearly doing her best & she openly acknowledged that the level of overcrowding was dangerous - which @crosscountryuk.bsky.social never do.
