Yes, the GOP controls Congress. That's why it's key to show Congress COULD stop the madness. And it's not just the DHS bill. Congress could repeal the prior multi-year $75b for DHS; set up a special investigative committee (cf. Watergate); amend the Insurrection Act; etc.

A Cuban immigrant died at the hands of guards in a federal detention facility in El Paso, according to his family members, who on Tuesday asked a court to block the deportation of two people who they say witnessed the death or the moments leading up to it.

The two students who were killed in a shooting at Brown University on Saturday were identified by friends and family as an 18-year-old man from Virginia and a 19-year-old woman from Alabama. Officials released a suspect late Sunday after they could not connect him to the shooting.
