Ironically, I too just watched Spinal Tap II on a long plane trip and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was given some of the reviews I'd seen. (And I'm ashamed that I tend to forget that Christopher Guest, @mjmckean.bsky.social, and @harryshearer.bsky.social are actually good musicians!)

I liked the suggestion I saw that if the obscenely grandiose ballroom is ever built, it should be used to host the trials of Trump and members of his administration before being torn down.

The big surprise isn't Trump's policies and behaviors but what they revealed. Never thought I'd see Americans actively supporting a concentration camp on American soil and masked thugs violently detaining neighbors. Trump made it socially acceptable for them to reveal their racism and xenophobia.

Nice try, but unlike the Right, which is pushing excuses for Trump clearly being guilty ("They were teens so it isn't really pedophilia" "It was long ago and he's saving the country"), Democrats want anyone guilty of sexually assaulting minors or colluding in it to be punished regardless of party.

To spell it out for you: Your saying you weren't surprised a high percentage of Epstein's donations were to Democrats and the Clintons to support the right-wing talking point that the Epstein files weren't released to protect Democrats kind of falls apart because *Trump also donated to Democrats*.
