i ask myself: am i getting worse at math & physics?
and the answer is yes but also i forget that i went from blindly accepting that calculus works the way people say to having to spend like 3 hours reformatting/ proving the starting equation without even beginning the problem

i think maybe the hardest thing ive ever had to do is try to learn hamiltonian symplectic dynamics completely alone and also
1) i've never learned lagrangian mechanics
2) i didn't know the difference between a differential form and a multilinear form
3) i also know no topology

crawling back out from under my rock to say that symplectic manifolds are indeed interesting and i am just bad at the different between topology and geometry (partially since no one has ever taught me topology <3)
