It was on when I arrived back down from Wetherby this evening is my excuse. Yes, I think you’ve put it better than me there - financial growth as the key measure of success is the problem. There are many other more meaningful ways to grow that are constantly ignored. Will check out that book.

This is how I'd describe what happened when our son died. In the 12 yrs that have passed I've learned that you have to take every punch and get back up, no matter how hard. Those punches will keep coming but they'll stop knocking you down and the person standing will be different but stronger.

Oh I agree with that. But too many of the people who are whingeing need to check their privilege and luck.

I don’t have a violin small enough for them.

We need a collection of these, and then a short story that uses all of them. Written by ChatGPT.

One of my trigger words is 'bunny'. As in "oh, he's a poorly bunny".

Unacceptable.

👏👏👏👏👏

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been saying it all along.

It’s definitely had an impact - as it should - but sadly the stakes and expectations of individuals who are paid so much don’t come with much compassion.

I didn't know that. So we can't even set that record. Thanks for nothing.

Humour is going to be my only way through this. Until tonight I've felt that Slot will sort it out but I think he's lost. The high stakes and high salaries drive high demands and expectations and the losses are now far more than just about being a little off the pace. They are miles off it.

LFC is a club that likes to set records. This year it's about being the first side to win the Premier League and get relegated in consecutive seasons.

That’s a new one. Country that aggressively invaded its neighbour just wanted a peace deal all along

I think this is why my parents outsourced my upbringing to a boarding school. AND I AM ABSOLUTELY FINE ABOUT IT. GOT IT?

Australia are the better side but England blew it. I haven't given up hope yet but we are very likely to be 2-0 down given our record at the Gabba, at which point it's all but over. But the real downer is just how disappointing it was - the Ashes series belongs to the fans as well.

Ditto.

Bit like our British press between Day 1 and Day 2 of the first test.

This should be the end of Farage but I have little faith that it will be.

The fact that we are even having a discussion differentiating 'direct' from 'indirect' racial abuse is appalling.

Oh, you called him a ****** BEHIND his back. That's alight then.

You'd think he's talking about free kicks.
November 25, 2025 at 11:50 AM
Ewwww. And as if it isn't bad enough already, the moistness is an additional detail we really don't need.
November 25, 2025 at 11:32 AM
It should be the end of Farage but he'll keep hanging on and his people will keep cheerleading for him unless this pressure is kept up relentlessly.

What's really disturbing is that this stuff has been known for years but it's been like water off a duck's back because the media have bowed to him.
