My latest monthly playlist is now available. Old records, new records, and new to me records, that span decades, genres and continents. All of them have made the last few weeks a lot easier to deal with. I hope somewhere on the playlist is something that'll make you go wow! and play it again.
We went to the Anne Frank house earlier this afternoon. What an incredibly moving place it is. On the way out we passed an American couple talking as they exited. As we walked by the husband exclaimed "No disrespect, but that was fucking boring", a phrase that is now burned into me.

Our local council has just finished a development of social housing on our estate. Once upon a time this would have been a thing that everyone would be happy about, now it's an excuse for racist Facebook posts about 'boat people', 'help our own' and 'Migrants'.

Although I pay a reasonable amount of attention to the news I love the fact that so often when I read people on here talking about what some despicable person in the media or politics (here & the US) has done, I've absolutely no clue who they're talking about.

Just watched an episode of Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing, It's a beautiful programme but for some reason it always leaves me with a melancholic feeling, is it the idea of time passing or is it the feeling that that's what I should be doing instead of dragging myself off to a job I hate?
