I am interested in your thoughts on this. It never seems to lose its bite as commentary on American society. I wonder if you’ve read Maugham’s “The Razor’s Edge” which always seemed to me to be its spiritual literary cousin with a British perspective on that same period in American history.

It used to be said that 'bad news sells papers' and now it seems it generates engagement. Something like Trump fuels engagement, earns clicks, and keeps your eyes on the ads. Something like Trump and his regime of angry fascists is an asset, not a cause to fight for those who see media in dollars.

And good works. I mean, I suck with people, so art is my only hope to be remembered after my grandkids begin looking forward in their own lives rather than back on what led to them being around in the first place. :)

And in those moment, they are alive as when they were out of the room or across the world or present in a life that never directly interacted with ours. Art, more than a headstone, is how the world remembers once we leave forever.

Seriously, these fuckers could have just changed the font and moved on but they had to make changing a god-damned typeface into an attack on something they find disgraceful. And you know what they found offensive? Accessibility. Readabilty. The formation of fucking LETTERS. How petty can it get?
