No fantasy is irreplaceable. No story defines any genre. There will always be something new to capture our hearts and imagination. We just need to put some more of our passion into discovering those works.

I found this quote online and felt its truth: "I counted up all the people who have handled my penis in my life and smiled proudly; then I deducted the medical professionals in that list and felt like I was well cared for but in very different ways...predominantly by medical professionals."

Sometimes I forget that a favorite artist is gone. And then I smile because they figured it out. They found the secret to immortality that is true for all of us. They're never really gone until the last person forgets they ever lived. I hear them. I read their words. I get lost in their images.

How dry is the air? I blew my nose this morning and it looked like someone smashed a bowl of cherries against the wall.

My dislike of modern Christmas songs isn't because they are insincere. Most of them are insincere. It is because I no longer associate great memories of the holidays with them. I hear Justin B pretending profound understanding of the season and think he's just cashing a check. But then, who wasn't?

Martyrs are powerful. When they emerge, the game turns serious. People begin to choose to die in the name of those who died for a cause.

Yes, I know I just posted about disconnecting from the teat. THIS is why. Fucking morons. And the media has to fill pages and catch eyeballs, so this is the bait they take from these morons.

Thank GOD someone took a stand for Times New Roman! Who will speak for the FONTS?! The Secretary of STATE, that's who. SO BRAVE! SO PURPOSEFUL!

Calibri is "woke," and so the government is spending money to "restore decorum and professionalism to the Department’s written work products and abolish yet another wasteful DEIA program." Our heroes. So brave. If Trump supported Comic Sans, it would be the most professional typeface ever created.

If the Secretary of "War" is guilty of violating military regulations, should those in the chain of command below him face the same consequences? Asking for a patriotic friend.

I went to the desert. I shut off the noise. I talked to the past. I listened to the world that didn't shout at me or try to tell me how awful shit is. And it was GLORIOUS. Absolute bliss. Disconnect for a while. Recharge. Listen to the real world, not the glass teat. The teat leaks sour milk.

Why do we have to take a side in a rivalry to spend billions? It isn't enough that Paramount may gobble up one of its historic studio rivals OR a newcomer might beat them to it? It's currency at war: more than your entire genetic line has likely ever earned since they started trading meat for skins.

I enjoy that news outlets and pundits are picking up the phrases "political kayfabe" and "media kayfabe" to represent the postured, theatrical rhetoric designed for promotion rather than discourse. I hope it gets traction and becomes an epithet for lazy, cowardly governing AND reporting.

Delivery Drivers: You have a challenging job. It's demanding and you earn your pay every day. But PLEASE. In your online support chat or message board, I'd like you to share that putting or piling your deliveries up against the door that needs to be opened is counterproductive. Stop doing that. Thnx

Imagine how much smarter the average smart person would seem if you gave them a billion dollars to play with. Intelligence is not the same as means. There are brilliant people out there living at or below the poverty line.

Just In: ICE has deployed a unit consisting of specialists equipped with tools to capture all illegal spectral entities who are allegedly plotting to attack the President with ideas of peace, love, and kindness. "This WOKE mob of ecto-terror will be detained and deported back to Hell," says the DoHS

Do you know what goes into eight revisions of a 135,000-word work of fiction?

About 1,350,000 words.

I admit that I didn't think about "the band" in most acts until John Belushi made a point of introducing them on the Blues Brothers' albums and when they showed up in the movies. I learned how important the geniuses behind the talent were to making that kind of magic. Steve Cropper. Thanks.

I keep saying Trump is the useful idiot. He is protected by real power. If you think this is over when he's gone, you haven't been paying attention. This is a demonstration of power unprecedented in the modern world. It is the test for the next level of populist figurehead owned by the oligarchs.

Social media has been around long enough now that I've watched my high school alumni group move from reporting weddings and career accomplishments to legacy student graduations and obituaries. It is a fascinating phenomenon.

Share Wars. More money. More assets. More IPs. More control over the industry. More creative control. This isn't new. Look at the anatomy of Disney and every company it owns or controls.
Netflix has made the highest bid to buy Warner Bros so far.

Hi, America. Not for nothin' but the Cold War is over. We don't need to project psychotic levels of patriotism. The world will respect us when it sees us taking out our own trash and caring for those in need. Til then, we're just Bushwood Country Club without the wackiness and jokes.

Hm. The Sacred Algorithm wants to decorate my news feed with unconventionally attractive women in shiny black breeches. I guess that's the curse of being a writer and a far more appealing environment to scroll through than when I was researching serial killers and pig farms for a different book.
