Also, mama #cat is SUPER affectionate. She's all about being petted. Which could be in part from hormones, but is hopefully just her natural personality.

We tried to move the bebahs to the larger babybin so we could change the bedding in the small one mama #cat had them in.
No sooner did we have all 5 moved than she grabbed one & raced back to the small babybin with it.
We managed to get the bedding changed, but we had to move FAST!

Well, that was fast! Woke up this morning to mama cat nursing FIVE BEBAHS. I guess now we know why she was so talkative & active last night 😮
Looks like four black & one gray kitten, but they could end up being tabbies. Stripes show up later.

This one has been seen by a vet who says that, yes, she is preggers. If she isn't, we are NEVER letting that vet live it down.

Although potatoes and radishes rank right up there, too. I could probably live very happily on those three alone if my body wouldn't put me into severe B12 deficiency over it (again). But two bouts of that was enough to convince me not to try going vegetarian ever again.

For new players, when ppl talk about grounding their TTRPG characters “in the world” they don’t mean rock, brick, and stone. They mean tying your character to others. A sense of history creates interesting fodder for adventure, but connections between characters offer chances for emotional impact.
