At the UTA board meeting I gave comment regarding the grants applied for and capital spending that is currently going to the SLCentral Station Improvements. It is a disservice to proceed with this plan ahead of the WEConnect Study, especially with other options, like @riograndeplan.bsky.social.
300 W is what enables me to get from show load outs at the Maverik Center at 2am. It's bad enough my only real alternative to driving is to bring my E-Bike with me, but otherwise I have to take the JRT all the way up to 300 N to have a safe AND reliable way to cross the tracks.

Pace's Final Plan of the I-88/290 Express Buses has the routes not being in service until 2029 and 2033 respectively. Only 3 of the 7 proposed highway stops will have In-Line Stations, the rest having to use frontage roads or having to fully pull off the interstate.

Here is the timeline of NITA as presented at the Pace Board Meeting Yesterday. Goes into effect in June with the new boards taking over in September. We are still over a year out from transit ambassadors and just starting fare integration.

Hopefully you don't have to wait at the station for long, especially if you're trying to use a UP line.

The mid-light crosswalk was clearly inadequate so Millcreek decided the best course of action was to remove it last year. Now someone is dead because of that decision.

My girlfriend actually got hit by a car while biking to the train station once and didn't have any internal bleeding despite getting hit hard enough it bent the crank on her bike and put her on the hood of the sedan.
federal officials are now claiming that Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who killed Renee Good, "suffered internal bleeding"

I have calculated the amount of parking lost versus (Blue) what was gained (Red) and there was reduction of .008 sq. miles of parking. Compared to the original area dedicated to parking of .08 square miles it is a reduction of only 10 percent.

First they tried to stack the election, followed by trying to stack the courts, and are now trying to stack the transit agency.

My reward for taking transit and riding my bike to work today is that I get to breathe all this in while everyone in their cars making it worse gets to have filtered air on their commute.

With the added parking to the east and on top of the former mall, there is going to be the same if not more space allocated to storing cars. The village seems to think that the previous iteration failed because it was "too difficult" to drive there.

The 223 is supposed to see service return to 30 min headways in April which will hopefully solve this issue. The perfect solution is the Orange Line which would provide faster and more frequent service, but this is at least a nice stop gap.

Due to the impending snow, I'm not taking my bike up to Research Park as the hill climb is bad enough without the possibility of slipping. Good news is that I have 3 buses that make the trip 5 times an hour; bad news is they all stop there at the same time still making me deal with 30 min headways.

The last mile of my trip is all uphill and I would love to use my E-Bike instead, but I'm not putting it up on the hook and it takes up too much space for this kind of crowding.
