Been getting into reading as a hobby lately and it's making me realize that my writing isn't as bad as I thought it was. There are a lot of books with a similar writing style to mine that are good which is a relief.

how bout you just make those companies pay more in 'health tax'? force them to stop peddling the crap to begin with.
this method becomes a cost burden on the public, but does not move companies to offer better products to avoid the tax.

I've noticed this, actually. The healthier options that have less sugar or no added sugar are Hella expensive. Which is incredibly inconvenient as someone who's broke and at high risk of developing T2 diabetes.
Harmful drinks are getting cheaper, not healthier.
WHO data shows sugary drinks & alcoholic products are now more affordable in most countries—including for young people.
This is a global warning sign. Raise taxes to protect health.

No book is going to turn kids into someone else. But books will regularly show kids other people like them and show those kids they're not alone. And they'll show kids other types of people who also exist. There is a large proportion of the population who are terrified of this.
