The only AI I will accept in video games is actual AI for enemies.

If you use machine learning AI so I have to keep changing strategies against an enemy, that sounds cool. If you use it to create slop or to not pay artists/VAs, then that's awful and you can get in the bin.

Why am I so against generative AI in games?

Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

It's long overdue but I accidentally smacked face first into the FF16 DLC tonight while doing sidequest cleanup before the finale. So FF16 stream on Wednesday! We'll be cracking open these two bad boys and seeing what lies in store!
