And when I say my biggest influence for my art and stories is my love for people I mean it!! I love humanity. Ppl are my drive to keep writing + drawing bc they are my muse. My characters aren’t just me or mine, they’re an amalgam of all the people I’ve met over the years that I still think about

And I keep telling myself: art needs space. Art needs boredom. You need yo get bored. You need yo get your head space empty. You need to start craving for something to get ideas. You need time for walking for hours and just observe. Art needs to grow from being resourceful not dry

For all of the creatives fretting about not being productive, this is a great reminder:
"There's a time to grow and a time to rest"
It's cold and the world is overwhelming. So, I'm resting!

Feeling grateful for plants this morning. Which is such a funny thing to say, but they (specifically my native garden) remind me of the seasonality of life & how there's a time to grow and a time to rest, how planting seeds for the future is something you spend your whole life doing. This is good.

I can see where my art could do better (im still doing a LOT of anatomy practice and studies) but my hands havent caught up to my eyes yet
also my style is a bit inconsistent and it feels like a fight between where I last left off and where I wanna go now that I’m investing in art more again sigh
