First harvest from my indoor garden! White turnips. They were yummy!

Broccolini is an amazing plant. I've had a couple that I've been harvesting all summer.

My favorite park has finally opened again. Helene took some trees and a lot of asphalt, but the locals still trod the same paths.

Did I mention our new kitty? We got this sweetie from the Humane Society. Her person had died and a neighbor held on to her for awhile. She was very shy and we rarely saw her for the first few days. As you can see, she has made great progress from there.

This is our newly adopted kitty, Mishka. She is 10 years old and her previous person died. She is very shy and just beginning to come out of hiding. From the colors on her coat, I think she's got some Siamese in her. #Caturday

This is the Cherry Bomb tomato. I'm estimating that it's about 7' tall at this point. It was an experiment. I'm trying a few disease resistant hybrids because my area has both early and late blight. The tomatoes are delicious! I'd say it's a winner. #Garden #Gardening

This is what I call a Crazy Daisy. I started some from seed years ago. I don't think the original looked like this. It has spread all over the yard. I got upset because it was EVERYWHERE. Now finding daisies peeking out of every unweeded corner has cheered me up. And I really need that right now.

The beans are beaning! I may have gotten a little over enthusiastic with the beans this year. Last year, the groundhog aggressively pruned them and I had a very limited harvest.

Feeding the varmints... This was a beautiful, tall Crackerjack marigold. Not sure if it was the groundhog or a deer that chomped it. I rarely get deer, but have seen them once or twice. I have another hiding in the shadow of a volunteer cleome that just had the top nibbled. #Garden

I guess I have the rainy days to thank for this avalanche of tomatoes! Already salivating for my first warm, juicy, fresh off the vine bite.

Today's harvest. Trying out the yellow sugar pod peas, but they're not very sweet.

Taking a break from the doomscrolling, I went out to admire the tomatoes. They are going gangbusters this year. Possibly because of all the rain we've had. This is the Principe Borghese that I grow just for drying. An incredibly flavorful tomato. #Garden #Gardening

The mustard started to bolt, so I harvested most of it. It doesn't fit in the fridge, so I put it in a vase. Tried drying some to see if it was worth it. Seems kind of bland that way. I know it doesn't freeze all that well. We'll just have to add it to everything this week.
