"Please put your phone on silent"

I can't even remember the last time it wasn't but thanks for the reminder.

Actually starting to think that my address has been unofficially blacklisted by Evri delivery drivers because they keep on claiming to have delivered items while making no actual attempt and now I'm down thirty quid because ebay won't give a refund for an item that on paper was delivered.

Microsoft really need to start giving people more warning that games will be removed from game pass because I've been putting off playing Octopath Traveller II for ages and now I suddenly have five days to get through a 60+ hour RPG.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

There isn't much that I appreciate in hindsight about growing up in the 90s but the rate of technological change in the computing and gaming space is one of them.

The jump from Super Nintendo to N64 to GameCube felt far more impactful than anything we've seen since or ever will again.

Last night I dreamt that I was back at one of my old retail jobs and the nightly delivery manifest came in with two xenomorphs listed so I did what any rational personal would do, leave without clocking out and go to the pub.

If it turns out that Half-Life 3 actually is real then I'll finally have to get round to playing Half-Life 2.

Mainly to satisfy my own personal curiosity, I priced up a roughly Steam Machine equivalent computer build and came to just under £700.

I really want to install Proxmox but at the same time I have absolutely no idea what I would use it for.

I don't doubt that Dolby Vision 2 is as impressive tech as they claim but there is just no way that I'm rebuying my entire collection of 4K blu-rays.

Checking my commit history and it cannot be said that past me lacked a sense of humour.

Nintendo included the following sentence in a recent report which most people are reading as being the end of Switch 1 development.

"Going forward, we will shift our primary development focus to Nintendo Switch 2 and expand our business around this new platform."

Is this a safe space to admit that I don't particularly care for Kirby Air Riders?

I have never, nor will I ever, collect one hundred coins in any level of Mario 64.

My TV has been telling me to change the batteries in the remote for weeks but I refuse to do it until they actually cease to function.

It turns out that the much hyped "Xbox Fullscreen Experience" is just Windows 11 with startup applications disabled, and all you have to do to get to the regular desktop is press the windows key.

I never thought I'd see the day when Linux is better at running Windows games than Windows itself.

Even with the much hyped "Xbox Fullscreen Experience" for Windows that promised a streamlined version of the operating system, SteamOS wins in benchmarks on identical hardware.

I'd probably take the people saying that tablet computers are destroying the youth more seriously if the same hadn't been said about every single new thing for the last two hundred years.

Corporate greed is a real issue but Snapchat aren't unusually greedy for wanting to actually turn a profit on a service that's been haemorrhaging cash for almost a decade.
