Intel launch the 486 processor in 1990 with a minimum clock speed of just 20mhz and just over a decade later they launched the Pentium 4 which started at 1400mhz.

Every year the new processors that came out felt like a significant step from what had come before.

Also, this list was constructed with some haste so I could probably find better parts and/or deals if I shopped around and looked at a wider range of components but this gives a rough idea of the value proposition on offer.

All that we need now is an actual retail price from Valve to compare it to.

I doubled the memory and storage from the base model because the upgrade these are the sweet spots for value on the consumer market but obviously Valve won't be buying their parts from Amazon.

Their major releases will be Switch 2 only from now on but this still leaves room for smaller scale or more experimental projects on the original Switch alongside ports/remakes of older games.

The original Switch has a significant player base and it would be unwise to cut them off completely.

However, to me this reads like they aren't done with the original switch because having a primary focus implies that there is a secondary focus or they would have said exclusive focus or something to that effect.
