This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm.

The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him.

Happy Black History Month.

Let’s be clear: anyone defending the Trump Administration after watching masked, anonymous agents assault a man, pepper spray him, then fire 5+ rounds into his back is irretrievably complicit in political terrorism.

regarding "news organizations constantly failing to read between the lines on Trump's statements":
Professor of rhetoric: ad baculum. It's a classic Trump threat - mention the thing he "won't" do as an implied threat. Media reports it out as "won't do it," target of implied threat understands, "he might."

👇🎯 Once again, the two parties are not remotely the same, & yet they are covered in our most prominent media outlets in exactly opposite proportions to the actual degree of scandal, lawbreaking, authoritarianism, etc. This has reached new levels of farce & obscenity since Trump.
Countless opeds about Mamdani being a "socialist" and are literally any of those publications talking about Donald Trump not just claiming to take over a country but deciding what companies are allowed/not allowed to operate in that foreign country?
Apparently Exxon won't have the privilege of having their stuff nationalized a third time in Venezuela bc Darren Woods told the truth at what was meant to be a performed loyalty session.

We don't want to wait years for lawsuits to work their way through the courts to reverse patently illegal, authoritarian behavior. We want our damn money back. Now. And we want the administration to follow the damn law. Now. Which requires a functional Congress caring about doing its damn job. Now.
Again, for the literal <nothing> sum of $86 million in a budget of trillions, we've funded area studies & foreign language study around the country & trained generations of students who have gone one to work in government, academia, the private sector, the military, etc. Just nihilistic madness.
And now, since our Dean wrote this (www.jsonline.com/story/opinio...), we've all received letters informing us year 4 of our NRC/FLAS grants has been cancelled.

International & foreign language education is "not a priority of the administration."

NEW: A mass propaganda event is about to engulf the US news cycle and what, if anything, survives it will be a lesson for our times.

But it’s what the rest of the world does now that’s key. When someone tells you who they are, believe them.

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they?
