Our new study shows that SARS-CoV-2 spike protein accumulates & persists in the body for years after infection, especially in the skull-meninges-brain axis, potentially driving long COVID. mRNA vaccines help but cannot stop it🔬🧠🦠🧵Your weekend read👇

I collected some folk knowledge for RL and stuck them in my lecture slides a couple weeks back: web.mit.edu/6.7920/www/l... See Appendix B... sorry, I know, appendix of a lecture slide deck is not the best for discovery. Suggestions very welcome.

Just realized BlueSky allows sharing valuable stuff cause it doesn't punish links. 🤩

Let's start with "What are embeddings" by @vickiboykis.com

The book is a great summary of embeddings, from history to modern approaches.

The best part: it's free.

Interested in machine learning in science?

Timo and I recently published a book, and even if you are not a scientist, you'll find useful overviews of topics like causality and robustness.

The best part is that you can read it for free: ml-science-book.com

They shows how we can train LLMs with value-based RL for multi-turn tasks *just by turning probabilities into Q-values*! This provides an algorithm that can be used for LLMs, VLMs, robotics tasks, etc. with one simple loss function.
