Like, they will take this backlash as far as it will go. In the South a lot of people don't like it but also won't do much to change it. You might say well, "thank god I'm not sending my kid to OU / Texas Tech / Texas A&M" but how long before it hits your college, your state too? Not long, I'd say.

I one time was driving around a trailer park and ran over like a large walnut or pine cone that made a noise and was on my hands and knees looking under my car before I felt comfortable driving off.

this story makes me deeply mad and deeply sad. I have a recurring nightmare I do something similar and the nightmare part is I don’t do the right thing afterwards. I can’t imagine choosing to living like this.
