The claims that McIver, Padilla, and Lander were committing assault should make you question every other time LEOs claim assault or resisting arrest, if you weren’t already.

I thought standard operating procedure was to credit Comrade Jeb!
You know how the hero who punched Richard Spencer on camera was never found? And how great that was?

Leave the skater punk alone. Let him become an archetype.

Do it soon. I used to work at an agency that gave assistance from these funds in my county. There are already ridiculous wait times without any delays to funding.
If you're in a state with a Democratic Attorney General, tell them you want them to defend LIHEAP by challenging the illegal purge at HHS.

For example successful organizing in the (sometimes recent) past has used powermapping a lot better. A lot of campaigns throw themselves at their primary target when a lot impact could be had from targeting people/entities whose opinion, money, support etc they rely on
I think this is struggle of modern organizing. Large rallies in US used to be a representation of your organizing power. Now, with social media, it's easier to raise a crowd, but a lot harder to build a coherent movement from that to wield power.

Columbia grad student with a green card and a pregnant US citizen wife, abducted by ICE because of his political organizing, and now his lawyers can't find him.

Hey, @schumer.senate.gov. This is your constituent. Bring him back home.
UPDATE—Mahmoud's attorney says they do NOT know where he is.
They were first told he was sent to an ICE facility in Elizabeth, NJ. But when his 8-month-pregnant wife tried to visit him, she was told he's not there.
They've received reports he may be sent as far away as Louisiana.

Columbia's response is weak ass bullshit. They should firstly sue and should be working long-term to diversify their funding sources.

Also they shouldn't have cooperated to the extent they did with the government's demand to treat the 1st amendment as optional.

the thing about chasing what you think is public opinion is that if and when things turn you will have made a bunch of statements and taken a bunch of stances that you’ll have to disavow. probably a better strategy just to say what you actually believe and stand by it. anyway, this guy sucks.

To those asking why Democrats are not simply getting up and leaving in the middle of this speech, I honestly have no idea as it would clearly be the correct thing to do if one has already made the mistake of showing up in the first place

When we protested the Sunoco CEO's retiree healthcare cuts, we did a banner drop.

Then plants in the luncheon audience stood up one at a time to yell, forcing them to interrupt the event each time to escort each protester out individually.

Ever seen a Fortune 500 CEO cry?

We did that afternoon.

In addition (or if that info isn't accessible) look at prominent endorsers or donors (or if it's an entity top officials at that entity) and contact their clergy.
Extra bonus points: find out where they go to church and contact their pastor/priest.

I really do hope that nonprofits will stop pursuing government contracts as if they are the biggest funding priority.
