Editor, fiction writer, and content writer. I am passionate about accessibility and Shakespeare. I also value positive communities of people who love sharing their passions.
It's becoming so easy to define yourself as "against" something. It's important for your success and well-being to remind yourself what you are "of." This is true for #editors, #freelancers, and anyone who works with other humans.

#Canada, now that we are in official election season, remember that both viable parties have been spitting on #disability protections. #Accessibility is not going to come from the top, regardless of how you vote. It comes from actions and pressure from all of us.

Speaking eloquently is not just for pretentious people. It prevents you from undercutting the power of your speech. For example, if you want to land a blow by announcing that you are banning certain companies from bidding on procurements, know how to pronounce procurement. #Ontario

I awoke this morning wanting to choose anger (doesn't help that I'm sick). I wanted to see how much "we" could make "them" suffer. But that's not the right move. Yes, buy #Canadian, but recognize that the economy affects people, but it is not people. #Community on both sides of the border is needed.

Tonight might be a good time to remind #Canadian companies that hire content #writers and #editors for internal and external communication — Canada has a wealth of talented writers and editors.

I understand when certain programs/websites/decisions lack #accessibility because to make it so would require more time or resources. But, sometimes, it is as easy to make things accessible: all that is required is a fragment more thought or consideration.

Either I'm eternally tired, or it's the climate (or both) — my dry eyes is worse than normal. Or maybe it's screentime. Good thing both my jobs involve a lot of reading on screens.

I have had the idea of affective communities on the mind lately, and to what extent they are still possible on social media. So....how is this platform currently doing re: building affective communities.

I've been working nonstop for 3 weeks and now and become too accustomed to being behind. It's like reading an audiobook on 2x then switching back to normal.

My top #Spotify song this year was Famous Blue Raincoat by Leonard Cohen. Yep, that was 2024.

It is still November but I'm already planning an afternoon of reading by a fire. Winter is early this year.

There are some #lifelessons I don't think I will ever learn. For example, touching your eye after cutting a jalapeno pepper. Seems pretty straightforward, but alas.

When I am exhausted, and know that it is just getting darker and colder, I always have an urge to watch As You Like It. Is the comfort food of the #theatre world. #Shakespeare

Hello, (another new world! I am interested in being part of positive #writing and #editing communities. Also, #Shakespeare. I will be posting a lot about Shakespeare, because that is what I do with social media — apparently.
