It has been done, 5:55:36 according to Garmin, 6:02:08 official chip time but that was with a couple pauses to say hi to my dad and refill my water. Think I may be a one and done marathoner. I raised over £2500 for #TeamBreathe and am kind of proud of my results.
Come be my friend, I am very good at conversations. Super intellectually stimulating.

Had to fill out a form for an upcoming doctor’s appointment and got this screen. I’m not sure I can edit my deceased mother with cancer, but sure, let’s try it.

Sabres play the Preds tonight so @tohelenback.bsky.social and I are at war 😂 (kidding, will be pleased for the Preds if they win as they are on a tear but I really want Buffalo to take it!)

Sabres winning streak may have ended today at 10 but hoping they can take the winning energy further into 2026. A win on Pride Night next week would be spectacular.

We learnt an important lesson today, which is that when you bring black tea to your mother’s grave as an offering, if you pour it out in the snow, it will not look like tea. It will look like piss. Mum would’ve got a real laugh out of it. Hope she’s having a great birthday in the afterlife.

I love the Buffalo Sabres, they definitely don’t make me want to die at all 😭

Hockey is mainly just me SCREAMING at the telly and my beloved partner watching me with mild amusement as I yell “GET THE PUCK BOYS WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING”

PR’d my mini marathon this morning. Old best according to Garmin was 2:38:56 — today was 2:33:06. Wahey! Also PR’d 10 mile and 20k. Will post my playlist once I can get my shit together so you can see what terrible taste I have for my workout playlist.

Just finished my second-ever T. Kingfisher book (A Sorceress Comes to Call) and I am, once again, pleasantly ruined by her work. She’s so good!!!!! Read her work!!!!!!!!!!

It is deeply unfair that Alex Kapranos is as hot and charismatic as he is

Three years today since Mum died. Went to visit her at Cave Hill today. The longest three years of my life and yet they’ve gone by in a flash. I don’t think I’ll ever get over just how weird death and grief can be — not bad, just a strange, universal experience that is also totally personal.

… sure is an album huh. Not the worst, more listenable than TTPD, but that’s easy when it’s a third of the length. It SOUNDS good, and there are a couple solid tracks here (Ophelia, title track, Eldest Daughter, Ruin the Friendship) but some other songs on here are Choices.

Hearing Dan Dunleavy and Rob Ray do Sabres commentary (even if it’s just a preseason game) delights my soul. I’ve missed Buffalo hockey. There’s always this year.

Courtesy of the CBC, this is the best out-of-context sentence I've come across in a while: "Practically every month, somewhere in the country, some person comes under fire for claiming their ancestors frolicked with the moose instead of merely watching from the bushes."

EA selling the Sims is certainly a choice. The franchise has been going downhill for a long time — Sims 4 has some cool features, but EA clearly got real greedy with expansions — and this doesn’t really leave me hopeful for much else. Maybe I should just go back to Sims 3??
