Sorry but it’s fucking nuts that the president just uses the National Guard and ICE/CBP to harass cities he doesn’t like now and we’re all just supposed to swallow that and be like “well what can you do, he’s the forever birthday boy”

The first thing to understand, is that the number of people killed by cops is not connected to the "crime rate," (however you define that).
Every decade since the 80s has had less violent crime than the decade before. And yet every decade the number of cop killings goes... up.
