This is a brilliantly informative overview of what’s going on in Iran right now, perfect for someone like me who knew very little about it
🚨🚨IRAN EPISODE 🚨🚨
I spoke to Iran expert Charlie Gammell about the latest protests and where it's all going. Recorded yesterday, Charlie had fascinating insights on the Islamic Republic, its likely intentions, and the response from protesters. Have a listen!

My esteemed fellow Victorian Murder Club member Dr Kate Lister was kind enough to have me on her extraordinarily good podcast on the history of sex - History Hit's #betwixtthesheets - to talk about the Thames Torso murders.

#ReliefWednesday reintroduces us to those toothy charmers, evil #Roman #dolphins, on the #frieze of the #BasilicaofNeptune at the back of the #Pantheon in #Rome. These marine elements, including shells and tridents, allude to the victory of #Augustus at the sea battle of #Actium. #AncientBluesky 🏺

I'm writing this on the end of the pier, watching the sea between the floorboards. On Sat. evening, we saw a super show with Betty Driver and her poodles.

Yesterday I bought some trousers & last night I went to the Atlantic (the local disco). There was some nice blokes there, about 3 or 4 Punk blokes & lots of punk girls. My zip broke while I was pogoing & no one seemed to have any safety pins, even the punks.

I always love a marble skeleton and this is one of my favourites. He’s in Sherborne, Gloucestershire. The monument dates to 1791, and is for James Lennox Dutton Esq. and his wife Jane. It depicts an angel trampling Death, and the sculptor was Richard Westmacott the Elder

We have been busy today in room in the Hall that you won’t have seen - the office.

Well that sounds boring you say…

…not when it looks like this!

This is the 1601 extension to the Hall and is a timber framed mini masterpiece. Even the vacuum cleaner is wowed by it. 👀
