Arcane scribbling, fairy dust, and tea. Opinionated.

Recovering Archaeologist. Louisiana born, still not Republican.
He's slapping his name on as many federal buildings as he can because he needs a "legacy". And they'll be scraped off as soon as he's gone. 🤮

So...anti-healthcare and anti-science.

Just the person we need in charge of public health.

This is either the arrogance of a man who believes himself bulletproof or the bravado of one who has been assured a pardon for all he does for the duration of Trump's term.

We should still aim for it. Even if we fall a bit short, any progress is better than THIS.

Publicly funded. Different levels for each level of office, with all candidates receiving the same amount. Get all money out of politics.

Pipe.dream, but a nice one.

There's ideas floating out there. Including an upcoming federal case challenging the Maine voter initiative that bans super pacs. If it gets to SCOTUS & Maine voters win, it would limit individual AND organization/corp donations. That's a massive if, though. I prefer no political donations allowed.

She's pretty cool, and has a lot of great ideas. I'm fuelled by pettiness and spite, so if I ran it would be to make the Republican spend more money. If they're gonna win, someone needs to make sure it hurts, from a financial standpoint. Also, it would start dragging the Overton Window to the left.

What is truly needed is funding for challengers in races from top to bottom in all states. Even (at times especially) if there's no way to win. The key is getting the message out that there's someone out there willing to fight for working people, and it sure isn't the Republican Party.

Tom Cotton is a two-faced, lying snake. Y'all need to remember this when he runs again. Because he will. He's gotten real comfortable.

What do you think is going to happen? I'm from rural America. I've seen what happens when power abandons people to the ravages of a free market that could not give two shits about them.

Public services SERVE THE PUBLIC. They don't use the public to make money. You've got it ass-backwards.

Contrary to what apparently more than half the country believes, the government is not a business. It should not be run like one. And when you hire a con man who has run multiple businesses into the ground to run the country like a business...

But that's the whole point! FedEx doesn't have locations in every small town. Neither does UPS. But the USPS does. They are there to serve the citizens and residents of the country, regardless of whether it would make Uncle Sam a buck.
December 5, 2025 at 3:22 PM
In a country the size of the United States, with as much rural area as we have, the USPS is absolutely essential. Otherwise, we go back to people having to drive hours to get the mail. Because If we are judging by profitability, there are areas where the post office only has a few people it serves.

And the way he cannot keep still. The wild gesticulations, as if he feels the need to take up as much space as possible and hold as much attention as possible, all while becoming the Eye of Mordor that his company's name portended. It makes me queasy that people are falling for it.

So pretty much trying to kill objective facts, then.

I haven't worn white since 1992, and I'm not gonna start now.

He needs glasses. We see it for what it is. A poor excuse for information gathering skills and often INCORRECT.

You would do well in a chemistry lab. When the samples from the poultry processing outflow came in, there were some people who would call in sick.

Literally doing the Lord's work.

Bravo.

I'm pretty sure I can manage THAT. I'm not that clumsy. Most of the time.
