Brexit is a disaster, the world is literally burning and Britain is descending into a far right mess. However, my cats keep me optimistic.

You don't have to support Reform to be racist.
But you do have to be racist to support Reform.

Trump wants to destroy the BBC and take our money. And Nigel Farage is egging him on.

All true patriots should tell them both: hands off our BBC.

Decent people need to stand up against Farage and Trump to defend the BBC. This is becoming outrageous.

Oh great! The racists are fiscally prudent! 🎉
Nigel Farage’s change of tone is a welcome signal, even if there are still plenty of reasons to worry that a Reform UK government might damage Britain

After spending the day in Bamburgh, I’m even more convinced that the north east is the most underrated region in England.

Some of the behaviour from the US fans and players was atrocious. It’s nice to see Rory and team Europe had the last laugh.

David Cameron once described UKIP as being full of "fruitcakes", "loonies" and "closet racists"… can’t we accept that this still holds true for Farage’s Reform party?

I do not want to be a pessimist, but this Israel +US deal smells like a stitch up.

I have completely mixed feelings on this. If it forces Starmer to adopt more progressive positions, it’s a great thing. On the other hand, it may have secured a Reform victory

Immensely grateful to be home from the US… hopefully I never have to go back

Bit ironic when so many of his followers can barely string a sentence together.

Starmer is failing. It’s sad that he’s perhaps our only path to avoid a far right populist government.
Britain is stuck in its longest period of economic stagnation since the 1930s. The public finances do not add up. The prime minister has made mistakes—including courting political pain for little gain
Sir Keir Starmer is rapidly losing his authority
As well as his hope of achieving much in office
