On the right, my old solution for metallic red, which was Blood Angels Red contrast paint over Retibutor Armor base. It gives a more satin finish, but also can look streaky or patchy which I didn't really love.

I think i was too harsh to False Gods along the way. I maintain it should have been 2 books not one, but it is much better by the end than I credited it

Some people modify Heresy Era color schemes for minor lore reasons. I modify the shoulder pad of my Thousand Sons so I don't have to try to replicate a complex metallic finish over a legion badge transfer and make up a minor lore reasons afterward. 😅

Sort of idly reading the Horus Heresy books starting with Horus Rising. I'm generally a big Dan Abnett fan so I may have some level of bias here but it's a really strong start. It carries a huge load of world building with grace and makes even Ezekyle Abbadon a fairly likeable character.

When I tell you that my poor grasp of the Spanish language means that for literal years I thought the developers of Ready Or Not were making a joke since the game is about SWAT cops because I did not realize the name of the city the game is set in "Los Sueños" means "The Dreams" and not "The Pigs."
