I’m ok. I’m a survivor so this small agitator isn’t going to intimidate me from doing my work.

I don’t let bullies win.

Grateful to my incredible constituents who rallied behind me. Minnesota strong.

Here's what ICE is up to in Northeast Minneapolis today. Absolutely heartbreaking.

I want to say this too: this victory was won because we had observers EVERYWHERE. ICE and CBP couldn't set foot in our city without cameras rolling. Much of the nation seemed determined to ignore our plight for weeks, but the avalanche of documentation we produced dragged the nation to us.

I'll ask again.

IS there an application to being a seditionist for the American people?

Im ready to go past shit posting now.
People are being murdered in the streets and the government couldnt give two shits about it.
They need to be deposed, removed and jailed, if theyre lucky.

I risk this post

Abolish ICE is not enough.

Stern words for Greg Bovino or Kristi Noem is not enough.

We need prosecutions and trials.

Anything short of this position fails to address the gravity of this moment.

Today’s retreat is absolutely an attempt to take pressure off of Congress to rein in ICE so that a funding package can get through.

That pressure has been effective. We can celebrate Minneapolis’ win but we need to keep the pressure on. They’re not going to stop forever.

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

Ellison: "The Bondi letter reveals what this is all about. This is not about fraud and it's not even about immigration, and it's certainly not about law enforcement. It's about handing over documents of the state of Minnesota, private information, including voting information, to the federal govt."

not over yet, but I literally cannot express the depth of my gratitude for the all the observers, patrollers, plate checkers, dispatchers, commuters who continue to successfully protect this city, sometimes at the cost of their wellbeing or lives. so many neighbors were not stolen, because of you

Needless to say that Renee Good and Alex Pretti will go down as heroes here in Minnesota and nationally, their names synonymous with sacrifice and caring for vulnerable neighbors even at the risk of your own life. And hopefully no more innocent lives are lost.

Minneapolis is winning. The tide is shifting. Can you feel it? It’s their Gettysburg. The first Minnesota is charging down the hill, bayonets drawn. This is their furthest advance and they will go no further. WE ARE GOING TO WIN

A number of responders were quite opposed to the idea of giving ridealongs to The Atlantic (I understand their frustration with the outlet).

But I drove these guys around for two hours and they witnessed abductions, confrontations with the public, tear-gassings.

The lesson: let the world see.
The Atlantic Magazine just dropped a tremendous story on the Minnesota Resistance. The author is a war correspondent & sees the echoes of leaderless community empowerment around the globe: www.theatlantic.com/politics/202... (supposed to be a gift link, might not work, it’s in Apple News, too.)

This is one of the biggest stories in America, comparable in scale to what’s happening in Minnesota. The largest social media platform is transferred to Trump’s allies and immediately forbids you from saying anything bad about him. Absolutely totalitarian in nature. No different than China.

rightwingers see people caring about others in their community and instead of finding that inspiring they think it’s some sort of grand conspiracy because they don’t understand what it means to care for others you don’t personally know

Minneapolis is going to win. Can’t you feel it?

They have no support, even the most timid equivocators are quietly shuffling out the back door. All they have is guns. They can hurt us and they can threaten us but there is no road to victory for them.

It’s a quagmire and they’re suffocating in it
