Later, when we went to pay our bill, I realized my wallet was gone. There was another group of people sitting in a booth behind us the whole time. They left soon after the rowdiness on the other side of the bar calmed down. They were working together.

We sat at a table and I hung my purse on the back of the chair. As we were hanging out, a group of rowdy folks across the bar got louder and one guy started trying to take off his pants. We laughed and rolled out eyes, saying, "omg, they're so drunk."

A lot of people, especially women who carry the load of making the holidays happen for their families, kick back and relax/recover after Christmas. No need for one-upping around here.
