On my way home @easterconuk.bsky.social. A great weekend and very enjoyable con. Met some new people, caught up with some familiar faces. Wonderful relaxed vibe to the whole thing.

Loving karaoke at @easterconuk.bsky.social. I'm a bad singer but I love karaoke so. It's always so supportive, with such great vibes and everyone having fun. I feel like it's the truest expression of what I want the world to be. Also, there's drinking.

Not having a go at Newcastle fans. They've earned a celebration, and it's huge for them. But this is why sportswashing is a thing, the feeling of community, the idea that this state backed team is the same underdog. Newcastle has always been turns fans into Saudi apologists.

Seems like the government's plan to deal with the many pressing social issues is to have more tanks. So that's good, that'll be a big help. I'm sure our underfunded NHS is loving hearing that we're committing more money to being theoretically capable of killing more unspecified enemies.

I don't know how anyone could spend time on a hospital ward and come to any conclusion other than NHS workers are the best of us. Routinely let down by lack of investment, in staff numbers and equipment. Of the many reasons to hate Tories, their approach to the NHS is my most despised.
