My favorite gadget as a writer is my Sony TX660 voice recorder.
I love that its one job is just that. No notifications. No updating or rating an app. Just press record and go.
I take it with my everywhere and can ramble on and pause for as long as I want. Transcription later. #writesky #authorsky

Not sure if anyone else writes like me but my novel has a lot of organized complexity. It needs to be effortless for the reader to follow while maintainable for me to keep everything straight, especially when jumping forwards/backwards in segments of the novel. #authorksy #booksky #amwriting

Just finished Run. 2nd Crouch novel for me after Recursion.
Finished it in a couple days. I just fell into it.
I can't remember the last time I read a book where my heart was racing the whole time.
Not great for character complexity but it hits the mark as a solid action novel. #booksky

I stepped away to explain my novel to myself: why certain characters exist, why they have their quirks, how elements contribute to the narrative.
The result was turning a bunch of 🟢s to 🟡s. Sucks to have to redo but I know the story will be much better for it.

Nice. I really got into a flow state yesterday. It was a major scene that was the turning point of the novel. It'll probably go through a million rewrites but I broke 3K words. Appreciate everyone's encouragement <3 #booksky #authorsky #amwriting

This is how I use Scrivener when I'm writing my novel.
I like using the Manuscript > Chapters > Scenes format. I keep a synopsis in five or so parts on each chapter, then an individual scene for each part.
Green = Done, Blue = In progress, Yellow = Rewrite

I'm genuinely feeling like a terrible person for deciding on a story structure for a character who will repeatedly feel false hope followed by learning things are worse than he thought.
