Another institution that the far Right has tried to hijack as it tried to do with the National Trust and BBC.

The Times is reporting that the new tax has brought down the value of properties over £2 million. I may be wrong but does this matter very much, if you have a house over £2 million and your property reduces by £50k, then the one you are buying is likely to have reduced by £50k too.

Here we have an article from the Guardian on schools. Wasn't Michael Goves also responsible for the VIP Covid Contracts, including that given to the company associated with Michelle Mone. He is a man who said "We've heard too much from expert" and now sits in the Lords

There are 827 members of the House of Lords; a few have taken leave of absence or are suspended, with just over 800 eligible to vote.
Rather than awarding 25 Peerages to get legislation through, isn't it time to remove 25 peerages from working peers on the other side?

I found the Dimbleby programme interesting. I thought at first it started as sycophantic, but I was pleased it went on to debate the role of the monarch. It highlighted how vacuous Cameron was. I was surprised that Grieves couldn't give a logical answer why he had for 10 years opposed publishing/

It is interesting to see the headlines on Tuesday's papers from the Mail and Telegraph in comparison to the FT.
It is almost as if the Mail is trying to put a warning shot across the Government's bows not to have a monopolies inquiry into its proposed takeover of the failing Telegraph.

The BBC report a couple want stamp duty abolished. I am sure that we could get other people to come along and want PAYE, NI, VAT, Car Tax, Prescription charges etc abolished. But I never see anything realistically proposed to fund the services that are supported by the public purse/

I am concerned about non-executive board of both private and public corporations and whether they work. As I understand it their main job is develop strategy for executive to implement and to monitor the performance of the corporation and its executive team. But how effective are they?/

I see that Johnson is spinning in yesterday's Mail.
I thought it was evident where the virus came from and the important point that Baroness Hallett was addressing was how we tried to mitigate its effect./

What a disgusting headline on tomorrow Daily Telegraph. The cost of the Inquiry isn't only about what we already knew (or suspected) but also about Inter Government working, preparing for future pandemics and learning.

Tonight's Emmerdale was one of the few times when as a viewer I felt embarrassed. Could a party ever be as poorly put together as the one done by the production team? #Emmerdale

My father flew in Lancasters in the second world war. He’s the last man in this picture drawn by my uncle. These men had more courage than I can imagine. They fought a war against fascism and against genocide. WE MUST NOT FORGET.

The debate over pro-choice is not about whether or not the unborn is a person. It's about if a woman is a person.

I understand that the company is in Administration with about £670k in liquid assets, and there is one preference creditor owed £1 million (a company associated with Doug Barrowman). The former profits from the company were paid into a trust that has Michelle Mone and her children as beneficiaries/
