Being undocumented is a civil offense, not a criminal one. That's why they're not entitled to a court-appointed lawyer, why it's "civil detention" not a jail, why it's not in the criminal code, etc. Other civil infractions are things like parking tickets.

As someone who is very familiar w/ 2019 Hong Kong protest, there's too much similarity. Violent events caused by pro-regime forces went uninvestigated. Then,🍊💩 sanctioned HK police/security top officials for their misconduct in 2019, and now the ICE under 🍊💩 direction is doing the same things.
Boy, I am just a former state public defender and federal criminal investigator but someone is going to have to explain to me how federal agents who are not on federal property are able to block state law enforcement from accessing a crime scene

As someone who spent the last 15 years working with aging brains & dementia, I can't stop thinking about this. It is gerontocracy: leaders who are substantially older than most of the adult population. When did we accept this? The new generations can't show up because the old generations never left.

As someone from HK, I find the taking over Greenland thing very offensive, particularly with the $10000 payment to buy votes. The thing is that it's the Greenlanders' decision and it would be a multi-year process if the decision is to be different than what's now.
