"Can I get a name for your order?"
"Let's name it, The Battle of Mactan, to honor the indigenous forces of Lapulapu, rising up against the Spanish-led expedition of Portuguese--"
"I can't fit all that on the Starbucks cup..."
"--in some ways the first successful resistance to colonization..."
Look up Kessler Syndrome for why this sort of thing is a catastrophically bad idea.

Do we really want 250,000 mirrored satellites in Low Earth Orbit? Hasn't the Starlink megaconstellation already done enough damage?

Kinda surprised they didnt just bomb it with the brown water plane.
When a federal agency's mere presence increases danger for all concerned, it probably shouldn't exist.
Ellis: Was the decision to deploy the tear gas appropriate?

Harvick: It was an enforcement action. A crowd gathered and agents were not allowed to leave. We have learned that the longer we are present, the more fraught it could become.

Residents displayed "active resistance" by linking arms.
Oh Chip, I see the confusion here. We were talking about the United States, a country with a "no establishment of religion" clause in its constitution founded by mostly deists (who also saw fit to include no mention of god in the constitution).
Chip Roy: "The truth is the marxist, radicals, and Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth. The truth is that there is a king and that king is Jesus. And the president has been willing to say it, & Charlie Kirk was willing to say it & he got killed for it."
Kindof surprised she hasn't brought suit and sought emergency relief already.
It sucks that we only get to hear about the heist part and not the con within the con within the con at the end. We also miss out on what I assume to be a string of nonstop clever banter between the coconspirators.
This thread is very stupid, but I regret nothing.
This has always been known by great writers. Chaucer famously opened The Canterbury Tales with, "Forsooth, Ernest Scared Stupid, by the telly's light,
Did plant a seed of mischief, dark and bright."
This works for film too. 12 Years a Slave? That's an Ernest Scared Stupid movie. Reservoir Dogs? Trick question. Thats an Ernest Saves Christmas (almost a shot for shot remake).
Don Quixote, that's an Ernest in the Army. Moby Dick? That's an Ernest Scared Stupid. Count of Monte Cristo? Ernest Goes to Jail.
There are only three true unique plots in all literature: (1) Ernest Goes to Jail; (2) Ernest in the Army; and (3) Ernest Scared Stupid.
My followers know that I have never before stopped Ernest posting, and it’s more important than ever that we continue. We cannot let the forces of cynicism and darkness win.
Also, minor point, but "I knew my victim's name" is maybe not the best defense to murder, but I'll admit it changes the vibe.
Is this rule against killing people, just like, basic etiquette? Or is there perhaps an actual crime we can identify to do with killing people? (I remember hearing about a crime that had a name like blurder or nurder or some such.)
Rand Paul: "When you kill someone, if you're not in a declared war, you really need to know someone's name at least. You have to accuse them of something. You have to present evidence. So all of these people have been blown up without any evidence of a crime."
"I was an alt-right white nationalist cartoon frog meme. Now, I regret all my choices." -Editorial, Pepe the Frog
I would like to see the defending attorney show up to court arguing 1st amendment defense here, while dressed as a dick.
Well, you can finally cross “I’ve seen a handcuffed, inflatable penis” off your bucket list
Y'all claim to be against kings and yet where were the marches against tyranny when Biden forgave a small fraction of student debt using express statutory authorization, amirite?
The overton window has shifted so far to the right that the left's radical demands are for things like not having a king, not protecting pedophiles, etc.
It's a happy day, so I apologize for a downer thought. But this image fills me with grief. Like, I wasn't prepared for the services being open-casket.
Giant copy of the Constitution being carried down Pennsylvania Avenue.
If you survive having your ship blown up, you're free to go.
Fair enough. But this frog with a cape sure looks like a superhero coming to rescue.
Anybody got a good block list of the bots going?
Crazy part is Times cracking top 100. You in top 5 makes sense though.
Honorable mention, "Is that abyss staring at me?"
