I like the idea, but am skeptical of the motivation for doing it.

I heard a podcast maybe 15? years ago arguing the quarterly report was a thing holding back companies from trying environmentally conscious business practices (slow positive results punish them so they just avoid doing anything)

The funniest part about MSNOW is that the W is definitely an afterthought for what they wanted, which was MS NO, but that sounded terrible. Then they went through the alphabet looking for clean combos:
NOB (:eyebrows:)
NOT
NOX
NOO
NOP
NOS (the Galaxy gas of news!)
NOG (for drunk uncles)
NOW (uh, ok)

Confident in my ability to properly diplomat, I take a chair. I smile at my opponent. Putin does not return the gesture. He’d be friendlier if he did, I think. He begins to talk. The words pass cleanly through my skull, destroying me instantly.

Their children woke up
And they couldn't find 'em
They left before the sun came up that day
They just drove off and left it all behind 'em
But where were they going without ever knowing the way?

The Matrix: the machines are using babies as energy sources to power themselves. This is supposed to make us root for humanity.

Humans in 2025: yo, what about just giving my baby to the machines?

A good use case of AI would be to procedurally generate a finite but impossibly large number of amendments to a bill for which every amendment needs to be voted on individually.

I haven't eaten at a Cracker Barrel in *years*, but I can tell you with absolute certainty that, if I went again, I'd rather eat at the one on the left than at a booth in a Pottery Barn.

I like people who are either totally unbothered or totally naive (and just happy to hold a cat) about the fact that their suit will be COATED in fur after this.

Was having a discussion with my brother yesterday about when you can wear a race shirt (mostly about when you can start wearing the one you just got). Very joking, but also very serious business. But you *definitely* don't wear the shirt during the race you just got it for.

I read (er, have a pile to read of) too many magazines. Some of them come free because I got on some mailing lists…

Anyway, I was goofing around with Gemini and asked it to look at the list and pare it down, plus maybe suggest better options.

It was pretty great at this task!
