That’s the whole problem, right? Even with all this, I know Poilievre would absolutely be worse for the country. But if you keep voting for centrist garbage because it’s better than the alternative, you just keep shifting that Overton window right.

Oh, I agree that they are a problem for her. What I don’t understand is why they’re a problem for Carney or why he’d be in incentivized to do anything to placate them.

Why does Carney need to spend even one second of thought on AB separatists arguments? They make up like 10% of the population here. They pose zero threat to Canadian unity.

Considering buying my MIL a meat thermometer for Christmas so she can finally stop torturing those poor, dead birds.

Guess who did exactly that? 😁😁

Everyone should be forced to watch The Social Network once a year just so they're constantly reminded that Zuckerburg is an absolute shitbag of a human.

This made me laugh so hard I scared my dog.

I *wish* I could hit their heights. Something to aspire to.

I once got to perform it at karaoke with a friend of mine. It was entirely too much fun.

I believe the argument is “We paid a lot of money to add AI features into our product and we would like to pass those costs onto you so pretty please can you buy it already?”

It's definitely offbeat and took me awhile to fully get into it, but by the end of season 1 I was really digging it. And he gets some abuse, but mostly by circumstance, not the other characters.

This feels like a Murderbot post.

Tomorrow we have a 3-year old's birthday party and a trip to the library. Sunday I'm doing lunch with a friend and then Eileen has a friend coming over for the afternoon. Oh, and D&D tonight! Should be a good weekend.

Et tu?

Other than watching kids, I think the category of “food” (purchasing, planning meals, cooking) might be as much work as every other household task combined.
November 21, 2025 at 3:31 AM
And you need to plan for, procure AND prepare the food that they will eat for dinner every day. It's madness.

UCP: There are bad parents out there and that's why we can't trust parents to allow their kids to receive gender-affirming medical treatment.

Also UCP: All parents want what's best for their kids and that's why we're trying to force teachers to out gender diverse kids to their parents.

That and the part in Bioshock 1 where the first mannequin comes to life are permanently etched into my brain.
November 20, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Ohhhh, gotcha, I see where you’re going with that. 100%
November 19, 2025 at 7:33 PM
How do you figure? The legislation basically outs gender diverse kids to their parents, which seems like the opposite of that.
