Arguably the best thing about Ebere Eze as a footballer is that he is good at kicking the ball hard.

Imagine if business and governments, instead of lighting money on fire “investing” in whatever are the magic beans of the day, just like, helped people.

Can any of the stats folks pull up when the last time was that Everton were ahead of Liverpool at this stage of the season?
November 24, 2025 at 10:05 PM
wait, that match was AT Old Trafford?!

oh my days.

By the letter of the Law, you can give a red card for that, but c'mon, use your common sense, ref.

my “we’re not Enron t-shirt” has people asking a lot questions already answered by my shirt
In the memo, “Nvidia also responds to claims that the ‘current situation is analogous to historical accounting frauds (Enron, WorldCom, Lucent) that featured vendor financing and SPVs [special purpose vehicles.)’”

so like, i don't think elected officials and government representatives should be permitted to go on the airwaves, public platforms, whatever and make inaccurate statements like this.

"follow the commander in chief" is demonstrably NOT the oath members of the military take.
BLITZER: I want to be precise. Should members of the US military obey clearly illegal orders?

McCLAIN: You're asking an enlisted person for their opinion on what they think is legal. That's a pretty slippery slope. Follow your commander in chief. That's the oath that you took

(Not a no!)

To James' point, the shots per 90 leaderboard:

Erling Haaland (4.26)
Jacob Murphy (3.56)
Donyell Malen (3.5)
Raul Jimenez (3.32)
Igor Jesus (3.25)
Ebere Eze (3.18)

But the overall observation still stands strong - Ebere Eze adds significant shot quantity (and strike-quality) to the Arsenal attack.
*Jacob Murphy enters the chat*

And if you look at shots per 90, Eze (3.18) pulls ahead of Mateta (2.74) but stays behind Haaland (4.26).
Only two players in the Premier League (Haaland and Mateta) have taken more shots this season than Eberechi Eze. He averages more shots per 90 than most elite strikers and significantly more than anyone else on Arsenal.

Eze, just what Arsenal needed. www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/...

Was listening to some Bruce Springsteen today and I still cannot believe that I didn’t put together that Stevie Van Zandt is the actor who played Silvio on The Sopranos.

I knew the band member. I knew the show. Never made the connection until I was at a concert last year.

rookie numbers, honestly.

gotta get those numbers up!
Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.

Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

Amon-Ra St. Brown really shouldn’t have done that stupid fucking dance a few weeks ago, eh?

It ain’t about the X’s and O’s, it’s about the Jim’s and the Joe’s.

You really have to question Tottenham’s decision to repeatedly give Ebere Eze, arguably Arsenal’s best ball-striker, time and space on the ball in and around their box.

I probably would have done a different tactics.
November 23, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Is there anything more Spursy than Tottenham's two best goals ever against Arsenal - the Lamela rabona and Richarlison from deep today - being rendered completely meaningless in blowout losses?
November 23, 2025 at 6:29 PM
Xavi Simons trying desperately to add to his pathetic little "highlight" montage of the two good things he did against Arsenal playing for PSV and shooting harmlessly wide of the net is very funny to me, a petty human who holds football grudges.

UPDATE: the heart rate has come down

(this may simply be halftime-related, we shall see)
Hopefully my heart rate, which has been higher for this match than during any other this season, will settle down a bit.

No pressure, Piero Hincapie. Just your first Premier League start coming in a North London Derby. NBD.

I’m fairly certain Arsenal are a really good team. Manchester City and Chelsea are maybes. Liverpool have been in the past but are definitely not at the moment.

The rest of the Premier League (outside of the handful of dreadful sides), I don’t have any idea. 4th through, like, 14th is a toss up.

Premier League Managers Misbehaving: How Mikel Arteta’s Antics Paved the Way
I’m utterly fascinated by this photo from yesterday. What is happening? Why is Pep so angry? What did the poor cameraman do?! Or maybe he’s just asking an innocent question “HEY MATE WHAT’S THE BEST MID RANGE DSLR CAMERA FOR A BEGINNER DO YOU RECKON?”
November 23, 2025 at 3:54 PM
That’s a well-taken free kick from Morgan Rogers but also a pathetic, baby jump from the Leeds United wall.
November 23, 2025 at 3:40 PM
That looks to be a good (and positively hilarious) goal for Leeds against Aston Villa.

Emi Martinez went full David Ospina.

Never go full Ospina.

Really important for Arsenal to consolidate the break, if you will.
