3 yrs ago, 7 people were shot & killed, and 8 others were injured in Half-Moon Bay, CA. Days earlier, 11 people were shot and killed, and 9 were wounded in Monterey Park, CA, during a Lunar New Year festival.

These two tragedies remind us of the work that still needs to be done to end this crisis.

Three years ago today, as we were all grieving the life lost in Monterey Park, another shooting stole seven beautiful lives in Half Moon Bay, CA.

Our families and communities deserve so much better than constant gun violence. I’ll never stop fighting for change in their honor.
Today marks 3 years since 7 people were shot & killed at two nearby farms in Half Moon Bay, CA.

24-year-old Pedro Felix Romero Perez was shot 5 times & survived, but lost his older brother Jose in the massacre. This happened less than 48 hours after a shooting in Monterey Park left 11 people dead.

Three years ago in Monterey Park, a Lunar New Year celebration turned to tragedy.

Today, I remember the 11 killed, 9 injured, and the Asian American community that was traumatized.

I will keep fighting for commonsense gun reform that disarms hate to protect all our communities.
