a side note: you can learn *a lot* about British journalism when you realize that Boris Johnson was fired from his first job in it for serial dishonesty, and then promptly hired into a new job, where he continued to make up lies.

It is IMO not possible to operate any kind of meaningful democracy when your national press is a joke and a travesty, but your mileage on that may vary. I think it’s incontestable that it is impossible to govern well and effectively, while being in hock to these pantomime clowns.

The ironic part is that anyone who repeated any part of the obviously fraudulent cancel culture drivel should now be required to explain whether their behaviour was malevolence or idiocy, and there should be quite severe reputation consequences for anyone who can’t give a satisfactory answer.

This is my prophesy, here. I don’t think democracy can survive an era where all the most important people have committed crimes so bad, they should be sent to jail for decades. Something else will have to replace democracy, because these cunts going to jail is intolerable.
