Tonight 40min dog walk: 4 cars running red lights (all different intersections) and 1 car accident. All on 4th.
We really need to get our shit together. Red light cameras at every intersection. Fine people into oblivion. All Fines go to transit.

Any politician who does a photo op at a food bank should go straight into the wood chipper.
This report lays out that the non-profit sector is 20% of our economy as well as 20% of our jobs… this is not normal. The only reason this sector is so big is because inequality is so out of control. This is terrifying to me. As inequality grows, the people who give won’t be able to anymore.
A new report released by the Victoria Foundation shows the Capital Regional District's (CRD) charitable sector has significantly grown its local economic impact.

The streetscape where this happened. No sidewalks, the only bit of gravel space beside the road used for more parking (despite massive driveways and garages at each house). This is a half block from a daycare and elementary school.
