The world wants to move away from fossil fuels. As frontline communities & civil society lead the charge, more & more political & business leaders are throwing in their support.

COPs are just one piece of the puzzle — the fight goes on!

However, most countries didn't want to give up their money or their power. Rich countries once again dodged responsibility and shielded fossil fuels, and there's no agreed figure for global finance commitments.

But people power was loud in Belém, led by Indigenous and frontline voices ✊

But strong words from the COP30 Presidency echo the momentum building outside of COP as well for a fossil fuel phase-out roadmap:

An actual just energy transition needs two things: a clear plan to get rid of fossil fuels, and serious money for climate adaptation. COP30 ended weak on both.

We do have the Belém Action Mechanism (BAM), but what is a just transition mechanism w/o the money or political will to make it happen?

Join civil society from around the world who are ramping up the pressure to say that COP30 must deliver real ambition, real finance, and a real fossil-fuel phase-out — not symbolic gestures.
