No, it's illegal, but I heard a friend of a friend did it to herself. She tried (unsuccessfully) to register it.
The needle is 12 or 15 gauge (depends on the model), so it is guaranteed to hurt like a son of a gun.

Two thousand is incredible! I wrote one article for a woman in academia on Wikipedia earlier this year. It's a huge gap in the record that the academic contributions of women are systematically ignored, great that someone is taking up the challenge.

Both of the original owners are dead and their family are no longer involved. It's currently being managed by a trust who wants to redevelop the park into an animal-free amusement park. Does not excuse the callusness here and the family should be on the hook for paying for the transportation.

We need more feasting traditions. I love sharing food and gifts with friends. Feasts can be a social method of wealth redistribution. Think about it: when's the last time you ever saw a rich guy throwing an enormous feast for people? I bet billionaires eat all of their holiday meals alone.

This article is so haunting. Even in war, forced famine, and genocide, people turn to their animals.

I can still remember hearing Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant describe us as “human animals.” The phrase was meant to strip Palestinians of our dignity.

But it failed.

Neither we nor our animals should endure this cruelty. And yet, even under genocide, we carry our animals with us. We keep them alive, just as they keep us alive. What Israel’s leaders cannot understand is this: Our bond with animals is the deepest proof of our humanity. We are bombed together, starved together, displaced together. Yet we do not abandon one another. Our love for them, their love for us, is humanity in its purest form.

Yeah. Exercise intolerance is very common due to what we call "brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome." It's like they're trying to breathe through a soda straw all the time.
