This is a terrible ruling.

Being in an immigration proceeding is not a crime. There is no reason to detain someone who is in immigration proceeding!

This ruling, if not overturned, is bound to cause massive brain-drain from USA.

I hope there is appeal and the ruling gets overturned.
BREAKING: A 5th Circuit panel has backed ICE's mass detention policy, a decision that clears the way for the administration to lock up people who are in immigration proceedings

It's a 2-1 ruling

A Kansas man wrote an op-ed criticizing local police for cooperating with ICE. Instead of respecting his First Amendment rights, the police used automatic license plate readers to track him in hopes of finding wrongdoing.

We must keep getting this easily-abused surveillance out of our communities.

Trump has done a hatchet job on the U.S. Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB). While courts have upheld its ability to draw funds from the Fed, its operations are seriously scaled back.

When CFPB is not strong, it hurts US consumers!

When the U.S. Supreme Court said that you could detain people based on their race, their accent, or the language they spoke… there is nothing to preclude ICE from doing that while you’re standing in line getting ready to cast a ballot.

We’re suing on behalf of two of the victims’ families because the government must be held accountable.

Do you think his supporters agree?

Or do you think they know he's racist.

My cousin, in Indiana, says his friends love Trump & they're not racists & I said if you support a racist, you're a racist.
What say you?
