Because someone had the temerity to speak to me of privacy, here's a thread detailing some basic recommendations in brief

VPN:

1. Do it yourself via Tailscale. Plain Wireguard provides even more control if you're hard enough.

2. Mullvad still seems okay for now. That's it.

3. No ProtonVPN ever

I saw someone call Ai a Thneed and I can't stop thinking about it. It's a PERFECT analogy. The Thneed was an all-purpose tool that didn't do anything really useful. It was a fad that did major damage to the environment to make the Onceler a billionare. It left no real lasting impact, only damage.

There will always be jobs in cybersecurity, but once things stabilize they’ll be paid generally less, and have more stringent academic requirements. The boom is over. We saw this happen with web development and SWE.

I checked my eBay purchases and realized all overseas sellers I bought from during the last 3 months have sent me exactly what I ordered.

3 out of 4 US-based sellers either cancelled the order or never shipped and I had to request refunds.

The tariffs are going great for US sellers… 🙄

We noticed that Kroger replaced every price tag across the entire grocery store.

Prices appear to have gone up across the board. We had so many "oh fuck no, not paying that" moments this weekend.
