For me, it makes more sense to acknowledge that kids were bullied & rejected for a variety of reasons & say that the people who were bullied need to go through a healing process & not use that as an excuse to become a coon than to insist that the bullied individual must have somehow deserved it.

Eh… I have to push back on the idea that we don’t reject our own for no good reason as kids.
We can’t pretend that we don’t like to connect certain things to whiteness. I just think when a person gets older, they need to understand why that happens and heal from it.

Idk if this is a hot take, but I think one of the ways a coon is born is through rejection by the Black community during their formative years and a lack of healing as they get older.
